Chhota Rajan convicted, Jigna Vora acquitted: J Dey killing

Mumbai, May 2 A Mumbai court today sentenced criminal Chhota Rajan in the murder case of journalist J Dey while absolving former journalist Jigna Vora and another charged for the situation because of absence of confirmation.

Other than Rajan, unique MCOCA court judge Sameer Adkar indicted eight others in the case.

Vora and Paulson Joseph were cleared due to lack of evidence and the prosecution's failure to prove the case against them beyond reasonable doubt.

The condemning in the case likely later today.

The prosecution in the case has demanded the most extreme discipline for the convicts, saying that J Dey was a writer, who spoke to the fourth mainstay of majority rules system.

Rajan is held up in Tihar Jail in Delhi after his deportation to India following his capture in Indonesia in October 2015.

The veteran crime journalist was shot dead in suburban Powai on June 11, 2011 while he was on his way home.
