Bhaichung Bhutia quits from TMC

New Delhi, Feb 26 Former Indian footballer Bhaichung Bhutia on Monday declared that he has resigned from All India Trinamool Congress party and is never again connected with any political party.

Taking to twitter to declare his decision, Bhutia said, "Starting today I have officially resigned from the participation and all the official and political posts of All India Trinamool Congress party. I am not any more a part or associated with any political party in India."

Bhutia resigned from professional football in 2011 and later joined TMC in 2013.

He unsuccessfully challenged the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from the Darjeeling constituency.

Amit Shah says, Corruption and Siddaramaiah have turned out to be synonymous

Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Feb 26 Continuing his tirade against the Congress government in the state, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah on Monday said the present Karnataka government has failed in all fronts.

Addressing to the media here, Shah expressed that corruption and Karanataka Chief Minsiter Siddaramaiah government have turned out to be synonymous.

"Karnataka government has failed in all fronts, be it law and order or improvement, it has fizzled. Defilement cases are on an ascent. Defilement and Siddaramaiah government have turned out to be synonymous," Shah included.

The BJP president also alleged the Siddaramaiah government for indicating obtuse state of mind towards families of the farmers who committed suicide.

"The insensitive attitude of the Siddaramaiah government towards families of the farmers who committed suicide is deplorable," he said.

Shah also said that pulling back every one of the bodies of evidence against the Popular Front of India (PFI) and Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has showed the unidirectional action by Siddaramaiah.

"The way in which all cases against the Popular Front of India (PFI) and Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) have been withdrawn, shows the unidirectional activity by Siddaramaiah government," he included.

Shah also targeted Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge for the poor governance in his own constituency.

"On the off chance that anybody needs to see the administration of the Congress, at that point, go to the voting public of Kharge sahab. I got inputs from the gathering laborers that there is excessively backwardness. There no such backwardness in any palce of Karnataka however in Kharge sahab's own constituency," he included.

Karnataka is one of the few states where the Congress is in power.

The Karnataka Legislative Assembly election is booked to be held in April-May this year to elect members of the 224 constituencies in Karnataka.

Finance Ministry puts out list of high-risk fund organizations

New Delhi, Feb 26 Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) on Monday released a list of around 9,500 Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), which have been arranged as high-chance money related foundations by the Finance Ministry.

According to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), all NBFCs nhave to appoint a principal officer in the financial institutions and report all suspicious and money transactions of more than ten lakh rupees to the FIU.

In any case, these organizations have been found not following these guidelines as on January 31,2018.

The FIU released the list on its site showing the names of NBFCs which have been found non-compliant to the PMLA rules.

ADANI CAPITAL PRIVATE LIMITED, Anand Corporate Holdings Pvt. Ltd., Arihant Udyog Ltd., Asian Financial Services Ltd., AVON MONEY SOLUTION INDIA LIMITED, Bindal Finvest., Bombay Gas Co Ltd., CELLO CAPITAL PRIVATE LIMITED, Dlf Finvest Limited, Eros Merchants (P) Ltd, and Indigo Fincap Pvt Ltd are few of the organizations recorded by FIU.

After demonetisation in 2016, NBFCs and a few other rural and urban helpful banks had gone under the scanner of the Income Tax Department and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for illegally converting banned currency notes.

Manohar Parrikar is completely fine and stable, says state minister

Panaji, Feb 26 Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is "completely fine and stable", a state serve said today, a day after he was admitted to a Goa doctor's facility following complaints of uneasiness.

Parrikar, 62, was taken to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) last evening on a wheelchair.

He was discharged from Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on February 22, seven days after he was conceded there and treated for a pancreatic disease.

"The chief minister remains admitted in hospital however he is totally fine and stable," state Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said.

He was suffering from mild dehydration at the time he was taken to GMCH.

Expert doctors are attending to Parrikar, who is in ward number 121 of the GMCH, situated near here, sources at the hospital said.

The chief minister had exhibited the financial plan in the Goa assembly on February 22 subsequent to coming back from Mumbai.

PM Modi hits out at Nehru-Gandhi family: four years of BJP government versus 48 years of Congress

PUDUCHERRY, Feb 25 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took a correspond at the Congress party by asserting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) drove Central government has done considerably more work than what the Congress did in 48 years when it was in power, 'directly or indirectly'.

Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan recalls Sridevi

Chennai, Feb 25 Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan has paid a sincere tribute to veteran performer Sridevi, who passed on of a heart failure on Saturday.

Talking about the legendary actress, Haasan had teary memories of the days when the two stars met on the sets of movie producer K. Balachander's movie.

"Sridevi Kapoor, an astounding talent. It was not fortunes but rather merited. She worked for it from her childhood. I have known her from her teenagers. She was as yet a tyke when she came to work with me and Balachander, my mentor," said the 63-year-old.

"When she came, she was not as talented as she was but rather she built up each day; she learnt. I was astonished by her climb and every step of it she worked for. She was extremely partial to me and I was very fond of her."

"The sort of commitment she had truly matched mine as it's no big surprise that we were fond of each other."

Recollecting his last meeting with the Chandni of Bollywood, Haasan stated, "I saw her last month. We are not prone to showing feelings but rather some way or another we both hugged each other and I am I am very grateful for that hug."

"'Sadma's tunes ring in my ears now. I think that is an awesome lullaby for this capable, wonderful Sridevi," he said.

He also paid his most profound sympathies to the family.
