New Delhi, Feb 26 Former Indian footballer Bhaichung Bhutia on Monday declared that he has resigned from All India Trinamool Congress party and is never again connected with any political party.
Taking to twitter to declare his decision, Bhutia said, "Starting today I have officially resigned from the participation and all the official and political posts of All India Trinamool Congress party. I am not any more a part or associated with any political party in India."
Bhutia resigned from professional football in 2011 and later joined TMC in 2013.
He unsuccessfully challenged the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from the Darjeeling constituency.
