PM Modi hits out at Nehru-Gandhi family: four years of BJP government versus 48 years of Congress

PUDUCHERRY, Feb 25 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took a correspond at the Congress party by asserting that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) drove Central government has done considerably more work than what the Congress did in 48 years when it was in power, 'directly or indirectly'.

"This one family has governed the country for right around 48 years directly and indirectly. Our administration will finish four years in this May. You should figure what did you pick up or lose amid those 48 years of one family when contrasted with four years of our government," he said.

Targetting the Nehru-Gandhi family, he government: "Our first PM governed this country for a long time. His daughter did that for 14 years. At that point her son held the post of PM for 5 years. In the 10 years from 2004-14, you saw how the family governed the country through remote control," he included.
