SC saves decision on triple talaq

New Delhi, May 18: The Supreme Court today held its decision on a bunch of petitions testing sacred legitimacy of the act of triple talaq among Muslims.

A five-judge Constitution seat headed by Chief Justice J S Khehar heard the issue for six days amid which different gatherings including the Center, All India Muslim Personal Law Board, All India Muslim Women Personal Law Board and different others made the entries.

The seat, likewise involving Justices Kurian Joseph, R F Nariman, U Lalit and Abdul Nazeer, had started the hearing on May 11.
