Triple talaq: SC enables Khurshid to help as amicus curiae

New Delhi, May 3: The Supreme Court today permitted previous union pastor Salman Khurshid to help it as an amicus curiae in becoming aware of a bunch of supplications testing established legitimacy of 'triple talaq', 'nikah halala' and polygamy among Muslims.

A seat containing Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justices D Y Chandrachud and S K Kaul additionally allowed Khurshid, who is a senior supporter, to record his composed entries for the situation.

"We will take it on record. It's not an issue," the seat said when the Congress pioneer said that the ideal opportunity for recording composed accommodation in the matter has effectively terminated and he planned to document certain pleadings for the situation.

A five-judge constitution seat would initiate got notification from May 11 to choose a bunch of petitions testing 'triple talaq', 'nikah halala' and polygamy among Muslims.
