Azamgarh (UP), May 9 Mounting a blistering assault on the opposition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged the voters on Thursday not to vote in favor of a "khichdi" (coalition) government.
"Be careful about a 'khichdi' government," he told an election rally here.
Expressing that voting in favor of the opposition collusion was fraught with danger, the prime minister stated, "The 'mahagathbandhan' can just prompt turmoil and precariousness and make the nation shaky."
Azamgarh had turned out to be synonymous with terrorism, Modi stated, including that nonetheless, the scenario had changed since 2014, when the BJP-led government was formed at the Centre.
"Prior, all terror activities had links to Azamagarh. In any case, what occurred after 2014 is for every one of you to see," he said.
"How were bomb blasts brought leveled out in every one of the urban communities after 2014? How have fear exercises been limited just to Jammu and Kashmir now? It is on the grounds that our legislature organized national intrigue. We entered Pakistan and assaulted terrorists," he said in the midst of a praise from the group of onlookers.
The prime minister added that people had already seen how "gathbandhan" governments were steeped in corruption in the past and cited the 2G scam among others.
