New Delhi, May 6 The Election Commission has given clean chit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in two more cases, sources aware of the development said Monday.
The Congress had alleged that he held a "roadshow" in Ahmedabad on April 23 and the sources said the commission has presumed that Modi did not violate the model code and the election law.
They said that the commission has also cleared Modi for his April 9 discourse at Chitradurga in Karnataka where he had apparently requested that new voters commit their vote in favor of the heroes of the Balakot air strike.
Around the same time, he had made a comparative intrigue in Ausa in Latur locale of Maharashtra. The EC had given a spotless chit to him all things considered too, however one of the election commissioners had given a disagreeing view in the issue.
In spite of the fact that the commission has so far not settled on the two choices open, with these choices, Modi has been given a perfect chit in eight issues.
The poll authorities in Gujarat are found out to have maintained that prima facie no violation was found.
The Congress had moved the EC alleging that Modi took out a "roadshow" subsequent to making his choice and made political comments infringing upon the Model Code of Conduct.
Subsequent to making his choice in Ahmedabad, Modi strolled some separation from the surveying stall and communicated quickly with media people.
The commission Monday is also figured out how to have cleared Congress leader Salman Khurshid's 'gaushala' comments against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saying no violation was built up.
In Farrukhabad, Khurshid had as of late tested Adityanath for a discussion. "It will be better on the off chance that it happens in a gaushala to see whether the dairy animals is with him or me," the legal counselor government official had supposedly said.
The BJP had moved the commission with a grumbling.
Prior, the EC had cleared six talks of Modi, two of Shah and one of Congress chief Rahul Gandhi.
Gandhi had been issued a show cause see for his Madhya Pradesh discourse in which he had allegedly said that the legislature has sanctioned another law which allows tribals to be shot.
On March 19, the EC had issued an advisory asking parties not to invoke armed forces in their political campaign.
The commission has now presented a report to the Supreme Court of the cases identified with Modi and Shah that it has arranged. Claiming delay on EC's part, the Congress had moved the top court for a cure.
The matter would come up for hearing on Wednesday.
