Ashok Gehlot: Democracy, Constitution under danger in BJP rule

Jaipur, Apr 5 Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot Friday said the nation's Constitution and democracy were under threat in BJP's rule.

Focusing on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah, Gehlot said the team governed the nation for a long time and people do not even know the names of most of the union ministers.

"The Constitution and democracy is under risk and this is my duty to disclose to you this. BJP leaders discussed without congress India and the those who criticise them are considered as against national," Gehlot said at a public meeting in Pali.

"This is the situation prevailing in the nation today. It is alarming and you should know this," he included.

The chief minister said Modi was a good actor and should have been in the film industry.

"A few guarantees like bringing back dark cash were made by Modi amid the last decisions yet not a single rupee was brought back," he said.

Gehlot likewise blamed previous boss clergyman Vasundhara Raje for slowing down improvement undertakings and debilitating welfare plans propelled amid his earlier term.

The chief minister was addressing to the rally in help of the Congress candidate from Pali Lok Sabha seat Badriram Jakhar.

Pali is among the 13 constituencies which will vote on April 29. Elections on the rest of the 12 seats of the state will be held on May 9.
