Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Apr 10 A case has been lodged at a court here against previous Jammu and Kashmir chief ministers Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti over their comments that abrogating Article 370 and 35A, that concede extraordinary status to the state, will prompt its opportunity from the nation.
Advocate Rajesh Chandra Sharma recorded the complaint Tuesday before the court of Muzaffarpur Chief Judicial Magistrate looking for preliminary of the head of the National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party under Sections 124A (subversion) and 34 (basic purpose for a criminal demonstration) of the Indian Penal Code.
The petitioner has alleged that he felt "hurt" by the statements of Abdullah and Mufti, that showed up in a Hindi every day on April 9. He asserted their comments could "fan agitation and insurrection" in the nation.
Their fierce political rivalry regardless, Abdullah who heads the NC, and Mufti, who drives the PDP, had turned out as one against the BJP's declaration guarantee of rejecting Article 370 dissolve 35A of the Constitution.
The two articles grant special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
Reacting to the BJP manifesto, Abdullah Monday said annulling Article 370 will clear route for "opportunity" for individuals of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mufti had also said on Monday that annulling Article 370 would prompt opportunity of the state from India.
