Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari starts 2-day Odisha visit

Bhubaneswar, Apr 20 Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari touched base here today on a two-day visit to Odisha amid which she will visit Lingaraj Temple and Sri Jagannath Temple at Puri.

Odisha Governor S C Jamir, Finance Minister Pradip Kumar Amat, Home Secretary Asit Tripathy, Director General of Police K B Singh got the Nepal president at Biju Patnaik International Airport here.

According to the program, Bhandari will go to a women's strengthening program at Mission Shakti Bhavan here before heading for a darshan of Lord Lingaraj at the eleventh century Shiv place of worship here. She will offer puja at the temple.

She will spend the night at the Raj Bhavan here, official sources said.

Bhandari will visit Sri Jagannath Temple tomorrow at around 10.55 AM tomorrow and come back to New Delhi by an Air India special aircraft at 2.25 PM, Home Department sources said.
