Remain by my claim of devastating Babri Masjid said Vedanti

Ayodhya, Apr 22: Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament Ram Vilas Vedanti on Saturday repeated that he requested the pulverization of the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992, and there was no political weight on him to pull back the comment.

"I am not pressurized by any political gathering and I claim to have destroyed the old structure with the support of individuals from Karsewaks to revamp the sanctuary," Vedanti told.

Vedanti additionally declined to acknowledge that there was a mosque on the debated arrive and communicated his assurance to construct the Ram sanctuary.

Vedanti on Friday asserted it was he and not BJP patriarch LK Advani who instigated the excited karsevaks to pull down the questioned place of worship.

Vedanti's comments came two days after the Supreme Court revived the connivance charge against senior BJP pioneers Advani, Joshi and Uma Bharti in the Babri Masjid pulverization case.
