POCSO court gifts safeguard to fmr UP priest Gayatri Prajapati

Lucknow, Apr 25: Former UP pastor Gayatri Prajapati and two of his charged accessories were today allowed safeguard by a POCSO court here regarding an assault case.

Extraordinary judge of a Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) court Om Prakash Mishra conceded safeguard to Prajapati, Vikas Verma and Amrendra Singh false name Mintu.

The court solicited Prajapati to outfit two sureties from Rs 1 lakh each and an individual obligation of a similar sum.

A FIR was enlisted against Prajapati and six others on February 17 on an order of the Supreme Court.

In the wake of being on the keep running for about a month, Prajapati (49) was captured from Aashiyana range here on March 15 and sent to imprison for professedly assaulting a lady and endeavoring to assault her minor girl in 2014.

The six others had been captured before.

Prajapati had moved toward the Supreme Court to get a stay on his capture yet the top court requesting that he approach the court concerned.

At the season of his capture, Prajapati had asserted that he was blameless and affirmed the charges were an intrigue to defame him.
