Pakistan getting to be place of refuge for terrorism: Nikki Haley

New Delhi, June 28 United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, who is on a three-day visit to India, on Thursday expressed that Pakistan is turning into a place of refuge for terrorism.

She said that despite the fact that Pakistan is an accomplice to the United States, fear based oppression working on the Pakistan soil would not go on without serious consequences by them

"We share a commitment to defeating terrorism and the disdainful belief system that motivates it. The US values Pakistan as an accomplice however we can't endure the state turning into a safe house for psychological militants and would like to see a change," Haley said.

Earlier in the day, Haley met External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj, and both the pioneers had a discourse on different themes like UN reforms, counter terrorism and positions of authority of women in India.

On Wednesday, Haley had approached Prime Minister Modi and talked about approaches to upgrade participation between the two nations, including on counter-terrorism.

They expressed confidence that strong India-US partnership would keep on being an imperative factor for worldwide peace and success.

The 46-year-old diplomat, who is the most highest-ranked Indian-American in US President Donald Trump's organization, last went by India in 2014, when she was the South Carolina Governor.
