Prime Minister Modi: Social security plans help adapt to vulnerabilities

New Delhi, June 27 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the Center's Social security plans help cope with the uncertainties of life and empower people.

"I am happy that today, I am interacting with brave residents, who faced adversities but they have battled them and emerged stronger. The social security plans of the Government of India assist adapt to the uncertainties of life," he said while interacting with beneficiaries of various social security schemes through video conferencing on the Narendra Modi (NaMo) app.

"We stressed on three perspectives Open the doors of the banks for the poor-managing an account the unbanked. Access to capital for independent venture and maturing business visionaries subsidizing the unfunded and a government disability cover for poor people and helpless - monetarily anchoring the unsecured," he included.

The Prime Minister further stated that it is vital for women to be in the financial mainstream.

"I am particularly happy that more women have financial balances. It is important for women to be in the money related standard," he noted.

PM Modi communicated with beneficiaries of different social security plans.

Gobindra Chandra Sathpathy, a minister from Odisha (Ganjam district) talked about how the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Suraksha Bima Yojana helped him.

Meanwhile, Vijaya from Telangana, who lost her better half to Alzheimer's infection, expressed gratitude toward the legislature for the help given to her through the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana.

Nitya Gopal Sahu from Madhya Pradesh's Hoshangabad endured because of a mischance and was given help under the Suraksha Bima Yojana.

"Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, 28 crore accounts have been registered within three years, which is in excess of 50 percent of the accounts opened in the whole world," said Prime Minister Modi.
