ACP Prem Ballabh commits suicide by jumping off Delhi Police Police headquarters

New Delhi, Nov 29 An Assistant Commissioner of Police rank official, Prem Ballabh, allegedly committed suicide by jumping off the Delhi Police home office working in the national capital. The 55-year-old ACP allegedly hopped from the tenth floor of the building located near ITO in Delhi.

Police work force sent at the ground floor heard a loud thud and rushed to the spot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.

News agency PTI detailed that Ballabh was posted in crime and traffic unit of Delhi Police.

As indicated by data on Delhi Police official site, Ballabh was in 2016 respected with Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

The incident occurred at 10 am on Thursday when the police official jumped from the window of his office. News agency IANS quoted ACP Anil Mittal as saying the Ballabh was being treated for depression at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for the last 28 days.
