Srinagar, Nov 30 The Army's Northern Command chief Lt Gen Ranbir Singh looked into the security circumstance in Kashmir and was advised about the ongoing enemy of militancy tasks in the valley, a defence spokesman said Friday.
The Northern Army Commander arrived in Kashmir Valley on Thursday to review the overarching security situation, the spokesman said.
"Joined by the Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen AK Bhatt, the Army commander visited units in south Kashmir and was advised by officers on the ground about the present circumstance and late counter terrorist operations," the representative said.
He said the Army officer complimented troops for their astounding accomplishments in taking out aggressor authority from south and focal Kashmir.
Lt Gen Singh also commended them for their devotion to obligation and elevated expectations of polished methodology and was energetic about measures and Standard Operating Procedures established by units and developments to minimise civilian causalities.
"The should be set up for meeting security challenges effectively was also reinforced. Lauding the excellent synergy amongst all security forces, he exhorted all ranks to maintain a safe, secure and peaceful environment for the people of the Kashmir," the spokesman said.
