Digvijay Singh: Congress will prevail upon 132 seats in MP

Bhopal, Nov 29 Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh Thursday asserted his gathering will win in excess of 132 seats out of the aggregate 230 in the state Assembly.

A record 75 percent voters exercised their establishment in the state elections held Wednesday, an increase of around two percent against the last polls held in 2013.

"We will win in excess of 132 seats and wrest control from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state following 15 years," Singh told journalists here.

"In the 2013 Assembly polls, there were around three percent counterfeit voters. This time around, we got the electoral list pruned before the elections," he said.

The Congress specialists have put their "body, central core" to win this poll, the previous chief minister of MP said.

"Actually, this time the workers invest each push to guarantee the Congress wins the polls. This election was battled between people in public and the government," he said.

In the keep running up to the elections, Singh had visited nearly the whole state in an offer to defrost contrasts inside the Congress.

The counting of votes will be held on December 11.
