Uttan (Maha), Nov 2 A best RSS leader Friday said the Supreme Court's decision to defer hearing on the Ayodhya issue in light of the fact that it was anything but a need for it was an "affront" to Hindu opinions.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) general secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi said the association anticipated that the apex court would choose the Ram Janmabhoomi issue by mulling over the notions of the Hindu people group as he pledged to launch an agitation if necessary.
Addressing a press conference at the end of a three-day national executive body meeting of the RSS here in Thane area, Joshi stated, "We anticipated that the court would choose the Ram Janmabhoomi issue mulling over the conclusions of the Hindu community."
He said the sit tight for the court's verdict on the long-pending issue has been too long.
"A legal sanction is required to clear route for development of the temple. The sit tight for court's decision has been too long. Since the issue was recorded (for hearing) on October 29, we felt Hindus would get good news before Diwali."
"But, the Supreme Court declined to hear the issue and conceded the conference. The court also said their needs were unique, when asked when the verdict would come," Joshi said.
The RSS leader said it involved agony and anguish that an issue which Hindus think about their confidence and to which their sentiment is joined isn't on the need priority list of the court.
