Encounters break out between militants, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam, Pulwama regions

Srinagar, Nov 27 Two separate encounters broke out among aggressors and security powers in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam and Pulwama districts on Tuesday, police said.

Security forces launched a cordon and operation in the Redwani region of Kulgam locale around midnight, a police official said.

The task was launched in the wake of getting data about the nearness of aggressors in the territory, he said.

The official said as searches were in progress, the militants let go on the powers, who countered.

He said the gunfight is going on and further points of interest were anticipated.

In another operation, the official stated, exchange of fire is on between security forces and militants at Hafoo territory of Tral in Pulwama region.

The region was cordoned off by security powers Tuesday morning in the wake of accepting knowledge contribution about the nearness of aggressors there, he said.

Firing was going on when last reports came in, the authority stated, including further details were awaited.
