India to include 1,000 aircraft in 7-8 yrs: Govt official

Mumbai, Jan 15 The nation will include 1,000 aircraft over the next 7-8 years, a best government official said Tuesday.

"We would include around 1,000 more aircraft in about next 7-8 years," Ministry of Civil Aviation secretary, RN Choubey, stated, including that the nation will include 100 additional airplane terminals, and one billion trips in the next 15 years.

He said the nation is a flight train for the world and gives humongous chances to players over the globe to grow.

The domestic aviation has been developing at 20 percent every year, for the last four years.

This growth has been highest in the world and it has been sustained, Choubey said at a Global Aviation Summit sorted out by Ficci.

"This growth is going to be there for at least 20 more years, if just the oil costs carry on," he noted.

Choubey said the government is committed on guaranteeing that nothing will come in the way for this growth, not even the infrastructure-related issues.
