We should ensure BJP gets a Zero: Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav promise at United India Rally

Kolkata, Jan 19 Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Trinamool Congress president Mamata Banerjee on Saturday promised to guarantee that the Bharatiya Janata Party can't win even a solitary seat from Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal in the upcoming elections.

"You ensure BJP gets a zero in Uttar Pradesh, we will guarantee that in West Bengal," Mamata said at the United India rally on Saturday.

Akhilesh asserted that since the SP and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) announced their alliance in Uttar Pradesh for the Lok Sabha polls, the BJP has been returning and forward meeting party leaders to strategise.

"The coming together of the SP and the BSP has prompted a rush of bliss in the nation but left BJP stressed. The BJP has been holding meeting in the wake of meeting to devise a system to win even one seat in Uttar Pradesh.

Talking at a mega opposition rally in Kolkata, Akhilesh tried to give an answer to the BJP who has been questioning the opposition parties over their prime ecclesiastical applicant. "They solicit, who is PM candidate from opposition parties... We say people will choose the PM competitor from our side. Be that as it may, from their side, this name (Narendra Modi) has disappointed the nation, who is your another name?" Yadav said.

Assaulting the decision government, he said that the Centre has manufactured ties with offices like Central Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement Dorectorate. "While opposition parties have gone into coalition with the average citizens, the BJP has manufactured ties with the CBI and the ED," he said.

Akhilesh said the people across the nation over were celebrating the New Year and this joy will increase manifold when they will have a new prime minister too.
