Sensex gains 157 pts on F&O expiry, positive worldwide cues

Mumbai, Dec 27 Rising for the second straight day, the BSE benchmark Sensex bounced 157 points Thursday in the midst of expiry of December arrangement subordinates contracts and positive worldwide signs.

In the wake of reviving near 400 points prior in the session, the 30-share index pared a few gains however completed 157.34 points, or 0.44 percent, higher at 35,807.28.

The more extensive NSE Nifty rose 49.95 points, or 0.47 percent, to 10,779.80.

The greatest gainers on both the bourses were Reliance Industries, Infosys, NTPC, ONGC, HUL, PowerGrid, Asian Paints, ITC and HCL Tech, ascending to 2 percent.

Then again, Hero MotoCorp, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Maruti Suzuki fell up to 2 percent.
