Prime Minister Narendra Modi urges political parties to take up issues of public interest: Winter Session

New Delhi, Dec 11 Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday encouraged all parties to use the Winter Session of Parliament for open intrigue as opposed to political interests.

Speaking outside Parliament before the beginning of the session, the Prime minister solicited leaders from different political parties to take an interest in discussions, examine issues of open intrigue and work towards resolving them.

Modi hoped that the session would be valuable and individuals would participate in debates on key issues concerning the public, regardless of whether more honed. He trusted the winter session would work more than its stipulated time.

"I am sure that political parties will remember open intrigue and make use of this session to use it for furthering public interests and not parties interests," he told reporters.

Modi said this Winter Session of Parliament is critical and everybody should participate in discussion.

"There should be debate, discussion and dialogue," he said.

The Winter Session of Parliament begins Tuesday and will end on January 8.
