Dharamshala (HP), Dec 27 Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday blamed the Congress of misleading farmers in the name of loan waivers.
Tending to a rally here to praise one year of the Jai Ram Thakur-drove BJP government in Himachal Pradesh, Modi additionally worried on the one, one pension scheme implemented by the Centre.
His criticism of the opposition over loan waivers comes days after Congress chief Rahul Gandhi said his party won't let Modi rest till the Centre writes off farm loans across the country.
The recently elected Congress governments in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan have announced loan waiver schemes.
Modi said development projects worth Rs 26,000 crore were in progress in different sectors in Himachal Pradesh.
He portrayed Himachal Pradesh as the place that is known for valiant warriors who were ever prepared to make the preeminent forfeit at the outskirt.
Complimenting Thakur on finishing one year as boss priest, Modi stated, "Himachal Pradesh resembles my home. I worked here for quite a long while for the party's organisational work."
The PM was set to release a booklet on the accomplishments of the BJP government in the state.
Modi experienced a display set up by the state government to feature the advantages of state and Centre-supported plans.
The prime minister was welcomed by the central priest, former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, Kangra BJP MP Shanta Kumar and Union Health serve Jagat Prakash Nadda at the helipad in Dharamshala.
Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Dev Vrat was also present.
