Telangana polls: 56.17 percent polling recorded till 3 pm

Hyderabad, Dec 7 Over 56 percent of 2.80 crore voters of Telangana practiced their establishment till 3 pm Friday, authorities said.

"Polling commenced at 7 am, however at some Polling centres there was a deferral of 10 to 15 minutes. In a couple of cases EVMs should have been supplanted. We have supplanted 22 poll units, 19 control units and 42 VVPATS," Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar told journalists here.

He also said up until this point, 30 objections identifying with infringement of Model Code of Conduct has been gotten.

As per authorities, casting a ballot was advancing all things considered gently in all the 119 voting demographics of the state and starting at 3 pm the voter turnout was 56.17 percent.

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan, guardian Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, overseer ministers K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao, BJP's Telangana president K Laxman, state Congress boss Uttam Kumar Reddy and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi were among the leaders who made their choice.

Uttam Kumar Reddy asserted that his gathering applicant in Kalwakurthy Assembly fragment, Vamsichand Reddy, was assaulted by BJP unit in Amangal where he had gone to watch the poll pattern.

Extra DG (Law and request) Jitender told that around one lakh police personnel, including 20,000 drawn from different states and 25,000 central paramilitary forces, were occupied in poll duties.

The Congress has sewed together "Praja Kutami" (People's Front) alongside the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), the Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) and the Communist Party of India (CPI) to take on the ruling TRS, which is looking for a second term in office.

The TRS is going only it in the polls, so is the BJP.

Upwards of 1,821 candidates incorporating a transgender are in the shred in the race. Checking of votes would be taken up hung on December 11.
