New Delhi, Dec 29 The Enforcement Directorate on Saturday told Delhi's Patiala House Court that the supposed broker in the AgustaWestland case Christian Michel has named 'Mrs Gandhi', news organization ANI revealed. Michel has likewise talked about 'the child of the Italian woman' and how he will end up being the 'next prime minister of the country.
The ED also told the court that Michel has recognized how the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) was expelled from the arrangement and was later offered to Tata. The law authorization organization has looked for a prohibition on the entrance of Michel's attorney to him claiming that he is being mentored from outside.
Meanwhile, Congress has guaranteed that there is pressure on Michel to name a specific family. "There is pressure on Michel to name a particular family, for what reason is the chowkidaar attempting to pressurize the govt offices to name a family? BJP scriptwriters are working extra minutes," Congress representative RPN Singh said.
Reports suggest that the decision on granting of consular access to the British High Commission for Christian Michel has not been taken yet, sources affirmed. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had, on December 10, consented to the British High Commission's ask for consular access to the British citizen.
Michel purportedly approaches his lawful guidance and has been addressing his family, in accordance with the requests from a Delhi court on December 11.
Michel had been sent to Enforcement Directorate's (ED) custody for seven days on December 22. He was arrested on December 5 in the wake of being removed to India from Dubai.
The Rs 3,600 crore AgustaWestland VVIP helicopter deal, finalised during former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residency, was buried in claims of kickbacks. 54-year-old Michel is a blamed for the situation along with previous India's Air Force Chief, Air Marshal SP Tyagi, among others.
