Guwahati, Dec 18 Assam government has approved farm loan waiver to the tune of Rs 600 crore which will profit around eight lakh farmers of the express, its representative said Tuesday.
According to the plan, the government will write off 25 percent loan of farmers up to a most extreme of Rs 25,000 of all homestead obligations, Assam Government representative and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary said.
The waiver will be for every one of the advances assumed through Kisan Praise Card (KCC) and from PSU banks, he said.
The government has also endorsed an intrigue alleviation plot which will empower around 19 lakh farmers to take loans at zero interest from the next financial year, he said.
The decisions were taken at a bureau meeting was hung on Monday night.
"The debt relief scheme for farmers will waive 25 percent of all advances taken till now. The advantage will be up to a most extreme of Rs 25,000. This plan will promptly profit around eight lakh farmers," he said.
Because of these plans ,there will be an extra weight of Rs 600 crore on the state exchequer this monetary. "For the next fiscal, we will have to do budgetary provision for the schemes," Patowary said.
The bureau additionally endorsed appropriation up to Rs 10,000 to boost agriculturists in the event that they take credit from KCC.
"There will be interest relief scheme of up to four per cent for farmers. There will be interest relief from the state government with the goal that farmers get edit advance at zero enthusiasm from next budgetary year," Patowary stated, including that around 19 lakh farmers over the state are relied upon to take its advantage.
The cabinet decided to improve the state Freedom Fighters' pension from Rs 20,000 to Rs 21,000.
The meeting also approved the formation of a Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council to help the development of MSME sector in the state, the minister said.
The government also sanctioned Rs 32.72 crore advance from National Cooperative Development Corporation for recovery of a jute process at Nagaon, he included.
