New Delhi, Dec 19 Soon after Congress came to control in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Chief Ministers of the two states Kamal Nath and Bhupesh Baghel made the declaration to defer off rancher advances. In Rajasthan as well, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is holding a meeting on Wednesday to waive off the loans.
Be that as it may, as Congress attempts to ramp up pressure on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)- drove Centre to waive off loans by acting in states that it came to control, the saffron party has hit back saying tweets and press proclamations don't mean anything. Helping Congress to remember their guarantees in the proclamation in Karnataka, the BJP said that even following a half year of coming to control, the loans have not been waived off yet.
a half year on and loan waiver isn't a reality in Karnataka. In the long run, agriculturists of MP, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh will think about your lying aptitudes. Press articulations and tweets don't generally mean loan are waived off. Btw @RahulGandhi waiving off loan isn't care for getting gold from potato's," the Karnataka BJP tweeted.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal also assaulted Rahul on Twitter claiming that the guarantees are limited to poll speeches. "Rahul Gandhi ji, your guarantees are limited to electoral talks. A waiver of Rs 44,000 crore was guaranteed in Karnataka however even after numerous months, loans of just 800 farmers have been waived off. Indeed, even in the MP, you have given a due date of March 31 and sold out farmers. You have been uncovered before the public," he tweeted
Congress President Rahul Gandhi hosted on Tuesday said that his party and other opposition parties will force Prime Minister Narendra Modi to forgo the advances of farmers by not giving him a chance to rest till at that point.
He said PM Modi in his more than four years in office has not postponed a solitary rupee of farmers' loans but had written off Rs 3.5 lakh crore loans of 15-20 major industrialists using people's cash.
"I need to tell that Congress and other restriction gatherings will together power Modi to forgo ranchers' obligation. We will stand, battle, not move an inch. We won't let him rest around evening time till the time he defers the advance of farmers. I needed to give you this message, advise this to the farmers," he said.
"I need to tell the poor farmers this is your nation. It isn't of 15-20 industrialists. Unfairness is being allotted to you. You (farmers) work day and night and give sustenance to the nation and your voice is never heard. We are guaranteeing that your voice is heard. We have done it in three states and you recall that we will pressurise Narendra Modi ji to do it," he included.
He said Modi had the decision over the most recent four years to execute farm loan waiver or go for demonetisation and "give cash to his companions."
"What's more, he concluded that he wouldn't like to defer rancher advances. Presently we will put such weight on Narendra Modi. Congress as well as each farmer of the nation, we will take all of you and get advances postponed. Congress will remain with you. All opposition parties will remain with you. Try not to be apprehensive, not be terrified. Your work will be done," he said.
Gandhi said the party had guaranteed that it will start the work by loan waiver in 10 days. "In two states it didn't take six hours and it will be done in the third state."
