Akhilesh: UP govt failed to create employments, address farm distress

Lucknow, Dec 25 Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has claimed that the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh has failed to make openings for work for the youth and guarantee profitable costs for products to agriculturists.

He claimed that people belonging to all sections of society were facing problems. "Obligation ridden farmers are committing suicide. The eventual future of the youth is in dark. BJP is out to crush the dreams of the youthful age," Yadav said at a program in Lucknow on Monday.

He said employment opportunities have evaporated as the present government in the state has not been able to provide jobs to the young.

Alluding to Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Yadav stated, "The chief minister dislikes even a smidgen of opposition."

He said students who raises their issues "are sent jail" and even girl students are exposed to police action.

A year ago, a group of students, including two girls, related with the student wing of the Samajwadi Party had blocked the convoy of Adityanath in Lucknow and showed him black flags.

They were detained and sent to jail. A court conceded them bail after 20 days.
