Rameswaram (TN) Oct 5 Four Tamil Nadu fishermen were captured by the Sri Lankan Navy while they were angling off Neduntheevu today.
The fishermen from Pudukottai area were captured for purportedly angling near the island country and brought to Karainagar alongside their vessel, Inspector of Fisheries department C George said.
The naval men likewise snapped the fishing nets of a few other fishermen from this seaside town and Mandapam, while they were fishing close Katchatheevu islet and pursued them away, he said.
On September 11, twelve fishermen from here were captured by the Lankan Navy for supposedly crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line.
