IAF prepared if two-front war breaks out: Air Chief Marshal Dhanoa

New Delhi, October 5 Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal B.S. Dhanoa on Thursday said that the Indian Air Force (IAF) is fit for battling a two-front war in full collaboration.

Dhanoa, while tending to the media at IAF's annual press conference here, said any choice on surgical strike including the IAF must be taken by the government, including that they are "ready to take on any challenge."

"We require 42 squadrons to complete a full range of operations in the event of a two-front war. By 2032, we will meet this requirement. For the time being, we have a Plan B, and that is to work in cooperative energy with two sister armed forces," he said.

"A surgical strike is a choice that must be taken by the Government of India. The IAF has the ability to do a full range of air operations," he included.

Additionally worrying on the same, the Chief of Air Staff stated that the IAF is set up to battle with the other two sister administrations at short notice in full cooperative energy, should the need emerge.

He likewise attested that the Chinese forces are still sent in Tibet's Chumbi Valley post the Doklam remain off, adding that they are relied upon to pull back as the mid year practice gets over.
