HC fixes time for blasting firecrackers for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh

New Delhi, October 13 The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Friday fixed the timings - from 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. - for blasting crackers on Diwali in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

Nobody will be allowed to blast saltines before 6.30 p.m. or, then again after 9.30 p.m. in the respective cities.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court likewise requested to lead an attract for offering licenses to offer firecrackers.

The High Court has likewise said that the Police Control Room (PCR) vans would keep a beware of spurning of the request.

This comes four days after the Supreme Court reestablished the prohibition on the offer of firecrackers till November 1.

The court stated, while conveying its request, said it needs to test the impact of the prohibition on air quality after Diwali.

Diwali, the festival of lights, is commended crosswise over India by blasting crackers, leaving the national capital thick with smoke and contamination.
