Director Suman Ghosh releases trailer of 'The Argumentative Indian'

Kolkata, Jul 15 Director Suman Ghosh has uploaded the trailer of his narrative on Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen on Facebook in rebellion of the blue pencil board, which has not certified the film.

Focal Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chief Pahlaj Nihalani has protested four words - "cow", "Gujarat", "Hindutva" and "Hindu India" - in the film "The Argumentative Indian".

The trailer does not contain the words but rather Nihalani has allegedly declined to permit even the arrival of the review in light of the fact that the film, because of hit the screens yesterday, has not been cleared.

Ghosh said he chose to impart the trailer to general society since he was not permitted to discharge the film.

"The fourteenth of July we should discharge our film THE ARGUMENTATIVE INDIAN. Obviously we were not permitted to. We had arranged a trailer for the discharge. If it's not too much trouble share on the off chance that you like it. The Tagore sonnet is presented by Victor Banerjee," Ghosh posted on his Facebook page yesterday.

"What's more, I am obligated to the countrywide support from the people and media," his post said.

He posted again today with the connection of a news report quoting Nihalani as saying that transferring the trailer without affirmation of the film is "illicit".

"So now controls are being made about uploading a trailer on the Internet. wonder where is such a lot of going. Mr Nihalani's assault," Ghosh said.

Nihalani told the daily paper that Ghosh ought not have transferred the uncensored trailer online as the Cinematograph Act expresses that affirmation is required for open show.

"The CBFC can't dictate if I post a trailer on the Internet. It is not illegal,".
