Nitin Gadkari: Paradip to be made a smart port, smart city

Rourkela, Jul 21 Paradip would be created into a brilliant port and shrewd city at a venture of Rs 40,000 crore as a feature of the Center's intend to achieve a quick advancement of Odisha, Union priest Nitin Gadkari reported today.

"The Centre is committed to speedy development of Odisha. While road network is being extended in the state, Paradip will be made a shrewd port and keen city at a cost of Rs 40,000 crore," the Union Road Transport and Highways serve said while establishing the framework stone of the hotly anticipated second bridge on Brahmani river here today.

Gadkari stated, the new bridge over Brahmani river, being built at a cost of around Rs 550 crore, would be finished in two years. The scaffold would be a piece of a six-path national highway from Rajamunda to Biramitrapur.

Among those present on the event were Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Rourkela MLA Dilip Ray.
