Official approaches DERC to charge domestic rates for legal advisor

New Delhi, Jul 20 A high-positioning official of the Delhi government's power division has asked the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) to consider charging domestic rates for lawyer chambers in courts.

In a letter written to the DERC Secretary, the power division agent secretary has asked for the power levy settling body to consider "lawyers' demand' demand" for being charged at local rates on utilization of power at their chambers in Tis Hazari and different courts of Delhi ward.

The lawyers had given a representation to the power minister concerning this request, said the official.
