New Delhi, Jul 24 Shiv Sena MP Chandrakant Khaire today said in the Lok Sabha that India should give a "befitting answer" to Pakistan for terror assaults in this nation, similar to the current one on Amarnath travellers in Kashmir.
Raising the issue amid Zero Hour, he said the killing of 8 pilgrims in the July 10 dread assault in Anantnag demonstrated that there was a "security disappointment".
Khaire said each year a "billow of fear" drifts over the Amarnath journey.
"There are terror camps dynamic in Pakistan from where assaults are launched in India. This ought not go on without serious consequences...
Time has come to give a befitting answer to Pakistan," said Khaire, whose gathering is a constituent of the NDA government.
He said that legislature ought to guarantee the safety and security of the Amarnath pilgrims.
