India select to field first in dead-rubber: Centurion ODI

Centurion (South Africa), Feb 16 India won the toss and selected to field first in the dead-rubber 6th and last ODI of the six-match series against South Africa at the SuperSport Park here on Friday.

After winning the toss, Indian captain Virat Kohli stated, "As a batting unit, we need to grasp the pressure of chasing. We need to get used to the mindset and escape the safe place and need the bowlers to get used to a circumstance they may experience in a crunch game."

South African remain in captain Aiden Markram, then again, said that Supersport Park pitch is always a good one to bat on and, hence, they are anticipating put out the perfect game today.

To the extent Playing XI is concerned, India have rolled out only one improvement in the squad. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been rested and Shardul Thakur has been brought in his place.

In the mean time, the home side are going with four changes. Chris Morris, Imran Tahir, Khaya Zondo and Farhaan Behardien have come back to the side.

An upbeat India, who had prior scripted a history in South Africa with a phenomenal arrangement win following a 73-run win in the fourth ODI, are currently boosting with certainty and hoping to end the arrangement with a 5-1 win heading into the match.

In the interim, South Africa would play for pride and would expect to end the ODI series on a winning note.
