Sources says: PM Narendra Modi didn't meet Nirav Modi in Davos

New Delhi Feb 15 No meeting occurred between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nirav Modi in Davos, said sources on Thursday.

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has filed two financial fraud complaints of Rs. 11400 crore and Rs 280 crore against Nirav Modi, a billionaire celebrity jewellery designer.

"No official business delegation went with PM Modi. There was no meeting between Nirav Modi and PM Narendra Modi in Davos, it was only a photograph opportunity at an event," said sources.

The Congress focused on Prime Minister Modi for allowing PNB fraud-accused Nirav Modi to be part for the Indian business delegation at Davos.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi tweeted: "Manual for Looting India by Nirav MODI. 1. Hug PM Modi 2. Be seen with him in DAVOS Use that clout to: A. Take 12,000Cr B. Slip out of the nation like Mallya, while the Govt looks the other way. From1MODI2another."

The Congress said the Prime Minister ought to talk on the "biggest banking loot of the past 70 years" and clarify how the architect was permitted to escape in spite of PNB writing to the CBI on January 29 this year to issue a look-out notice against Modi.
