'Crowd assaulted AAP leaders at Delhi Secretariat'

New Delhi, Feb 20 Adding another point to Monday night's occurrence at Delhi Secretariat where the Delhi Chief Secretary was allegedly assaulted by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs, the AAP has claimed that a tremendous horde had trapped the scene and assaulted its pioneers.

"Delhi secretariat is a high-security zone so there is sufficient police arrangement. There, a group accumulated and even raised mottos. They assaulted me and Imran Hussain (AAP MLA), however police that was available there remained as quiet onlookers. There were no endeavors to scatter the horde or control the circumstance," AAP pioneer Ashish Khetan told press here.

Khetan also hinted to Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) involvement in the mob assault, "For a mob to gather there and make Delhi Secretariat a revolting spot, all in all, on whose command would it say it was finished? There were specialists from outside; who affected them and who encouraged them?"

Responding to Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash's allegation that he was mistreated by two AAP MLAs, Khetan said there are two renditions of the night and everything is caught in the CCTV cameras, even as he included that the assault and the ensuing inaction of Delhi Police connected the episode to outside forces.

"Everything is on CCTV; the way serves were assaulted inside the Delhi Secretariat, anything could have happened, individuals could have been truly harmed. Would you be able to envision such an occurrence happening in the secretariat of some other state? That the police stays calm and does not make any move in spite of all the confirmation in CCTV film?" he said.

The AAP leader also said that there are endeavors being made to destabilize the entire government even before the claims have been examined.

Khetan further counter-alleged that Prakash's allegation against AAP MLAs is an endeavor to redirect the issue of error in proportion circulation for which the crisis meeting had been brought in any case.

Delhi Chief Secretary Prakash has charged that he was assaulted within the sight of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the wake of being summoned for dialogs on Aadhar-related issues on Monday night.

AAP has in the interim named it a "ludicrous allegation."
