Prime Minister Modi, Center of BJP is 'genuinely democratic'

New Delhi, Feb 18 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to the philosophy of 'patriotism', including that party's core is 'really democratic'.

Talking at the inauguration function of the new BJP headquarters here, he stated, "In thought, in real life and in usage, the BJP's core is genuinely democratic."

The Prime Minister, who inauguration the new BJP headquarters, situated at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg expressed gratitude toward party president Amit Shah and its workers for their hard work.

"I want to thank Amit Bhai and his whole group, that worked hard to finish the work on the BJP HQ inside the coveted time period," he included.

He further noted that the journey of the BJP started with great personalities, for example, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and said that the "ages of Karyakartas have given their lives for the party.

He also emphasised that existence of several political parties in the country adds to the magnificence of vote based system.

"Forming a political party isn't intense in India. There are several parties with their own views, belief systems and working culture," he included.

He further stressed that BJP leaders and Jan Sangh have been at the forefront of all leading mass movements after Independence.

The Prime Minister additionally noticed that the NDA government under previous executive Atal Bihari Vajpayee's administration touched off a beam of expectation among Indians.
