Amit Shah affirms Giriraj Singh will contest election from Bihar's Begusarai

New Delhi, Mar 27 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Wednesday affirmed that Union Minister Giriraj Singh will challenge for the upcoming Lok Sabha election from Bihar's Begusarai seat. In a tweet posted in Hindi, Amit Shah stated, "Giriraj Singh will challenge for Lok Sabha election from Begusarai. I have listened to all his grievances and the party will sort every one of his issues. I wish him the best for the election."

After the BJP declared on Saturday that Giriraj Singh will challenge from Begusarai and not from Nawada, a seat which he won in 2014, the association serve communicated his hesitance at the gathering's choice to handle him from another spot.

"My confidence is harmed that no other MP's seat was changed in Bihar. It was chosen without conversing with me. State BJP authority should disclose to me for what reason was it done. I've nothing against Begusarai except for I can't compromise with my self-respect," he said. Giriraj Singh is as of now the Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar has been offered a ticket by CPI(M) to challenge for the Lok Sabha polls from Begusarai.

The dates of polling in Bihar will be on April 11, 18, 23, 29 and May 6, 12 and 19. The results will be declared on May 23.
