New Delhi, Mar 28 Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that Nyay plan will 'remonetise' what Modi 'demonetised'.
In a huge explosion poll guarantee, Gandhi this week announced that Rs 72,000 every year will be given as least pay to poor families, profiting around 25 crore people, if his party is voted to power in Lok Sabha polls, and asserted it will be the final assault on neediness.
Gandhi said families which are earning not as much as Rs 12,000 a month will get the rest of the amount to give least salary to them. He said every family will get up to a limit of Rs 72,000 for each annum.
In an exclusive meeting to PTI he said 'Nyay' will achieve twin objectives of offering cash to 20 pc poorest families and firing up economy.
BJP is in total disarray after 'Nyay' conspire. We need to convey justice to India's poorest families and end poverty through 'Nyay' scheme, he added.
We need to come back to denied areas what PM Modi has grabbed from them. If PM Modi had done his responsibility appropriately, poverty would have finished at this point. 'Nyay' will be a distinct advantage and is "perfectly doable" without any financial pressure on exchequer, Gandhi added.
We will not implement 'Nyay' rashly like BJP's demonetisation and GST. There is nothing populist about 'Nyay' scheme. Ending poverty is a huge project, he said.
