India will become 'super science power': Reactions on Mission Shakti

Mar, 27 In a major boost for India's ability in space, the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) on Wednesday successfully tested the Anti-Satellite (ASAT) Missile, codenamed Mission Shakti.

While congratulating the scientists, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that the satellite was in an orbit 300 kilometres over the earth when the rocket effectively shot it down bringing India at standard with United States of America, Russia and China as far as space protection. The Prime Minister also declared that Mission Shakti was an indigenous effort and every one of the capacities for the anti-satellite missile were created in the nation.
