Notification issued for stage 2 of Lok Sabha polls on April 18

New Delhi, Mar 19 The Election Commission Tuesday issued a notice kick beginning the survey procedure in 97 voting public spread across 13 states where stage two of the Lok Sabha elections will be hung on April 18.

The process of nomination began with the issuance of this notification and will continue till March 26.

Scrutiny of the nomination papers will be hung on March 27 and the most recent day of withdrawing nomination is March 29.

By the night of March 29, a clear picture on the number of hopefuls in every one of the 97 electorates will develop.

Every single parliamentary voting public in Tamil Nadu (39 seats) and Puducherry (one seat) will go for polling in the second phase.

Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal will see surveying in all the seven stages.

In the second stage, eight UP bodies electorate including Agra, Aligarh and Mathura, three in West Bengal, incorporating Darjeeling and five in Bihar will go for surveys.

UP has 80 seats, while West Bengal and Bihar have 42 and 40 Lok Sabha seats respectively.

The Srinagar and Udhampur situates in Jammu and Kashmir will likewise go for surveying in the second stage.
