Jammu and Kashmir: Mehbooba for better relations with Imran Khan

Srinagar, July 28 Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti has encouraged the Centre to grab the open door by expanding a hand of fellowship with Pakistan's Prime Minister-in-holding up Imran Khan so issues between the two nations could be settled.

While addressing the 19th foundation day of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) here on Saturday, Mehbooba stated, "I request to (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi to accept the open door to create solid companionship with Imran Khan so relations between the two nations could be solid, and different issues could likewise be settled through dialogue."

Imran Khan in his speech after the Pakistan's general decisions on July 25 said that it was time the two nations sat over the table and examined the Kashmir issue. He stated, "We ought to sit crosswise over and resolve the issues rather than we pointing the finger at India for issues in Balochistan and they reprimanding us for issues in Kashmir."

Without naming anybody, PDP chief in her speech anyway attacked the RSS-BJP. She stated, "To unravel the Kashmir issue we generally raised our voice vested interests always created problems in the name Article 370 and 35 A."

She urged the Centre to hold dialogue with Hurriyat leaders also. She said the Centre ought to have an inspirational outlook in settling the current issues winning in the Valley. Assuming praise for the truce measure, Mehbooba included that it was the PDP who stepped up with regards to a truce amid Ramzan in May-June.

"PDP stepped up with regards to a truce amid Ramzan. I request to the Center to demonstrate an uplifting state of mind towards Hurriyat and mean to expedite them the table for exchange," said Mehbooba.

Elaborating on PDP's role in the Valley, the previous boss priest said that her dad, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, who served twice as the central priest of the state was dependably for holding discourse with Pakistan to determine issues because of which the locale has been reeling for a long time.
