Dras (Jammu and Kashmir), July 26 General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC) Northern Command, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh on Thursday said that the Indian Army is ready for any contingency.
On the event of the 19th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Lt Gen Singh stated, "Indian Army is ready for any possibility. Any sort of development, misfortune which our adversaries try to undertake, they'll be given a befitting answer."
Offering his thanks to the officers who battled for the country, Lt Gen Singh: "We applaud the magnificent efforts of all those gallant sons of the soil. We proceed with appreciation for every one of those martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the service
of the country."
On transgressions along the Actual Line of Control, he further stated, "On various events there have been reports that People's Liberation Army of China did transgressions in different regions along the Actual Line of Control yet such transgressions occurred in regions where we have different perception of the Actual Line of Control."
He emphasised that India and China have entrenched instruments particularly at the most abnormal amount where unique delegates from both the nations talk about issues identified with the determination of the boundary dispute.
