Nitish Kumar: Bihar political parties for special status

Patna, July 16 Reiterating his demand for special status for Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday said he hosts got bolster from every single political assembling on the issue.

"We have been requesting unique status for Bihar since 2006. The report of fourteenth Finance Commission showed that uncommon status isn't required so we are seeking after the issue and will put it forward before the fifteenth Finance Commission," Nitish Kumar said while tending to a 'Lok Samvad' program here.

"All parties in the state have supported the demand for special status for Bihar. We will keep forward our demand as we have our own rationale in demanding special status," he added.

This comes after a six-part designation of Janata Dal (United) drove by Ashok Chaudhary met President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan a week ago to talk about the issue.

He told that the President reacted positively to the discussion.
