UK minister, a best supporter of Pakistan, leaves over inappropriate behavior

London, July 15 Andrew Griffiths, the minister for small business in the United Kingdom, also a conspicuous supporter of Pakistan, resigned from the government after he was found to have sent more than 2,000 explicit messages to two women in his constituency, The Guardian reported.

The 47-year-old minister, subsequent to leaving, discharged an announcement apologising for his inappropriate behaviour.

The Guardian cited the minister's statement as saying, "I am deeply embarrassed at my behaviour which has made untold pain my wife and family, to whom I owe everything, and deep embarrassment to the PM and the government I am so proud to serve."

He included, "I offered my acquiescence as parliamentary under secretary of state for small business on Friday night."

He is a former chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, a UK-based forum, which he used to push Pakistan's situation on Kashmir.

The priest, a previous head of staff to Prime Minister Theresa May, said that he would look for professional help to address the issue of sending sexually unequivocal writings to the women of his constituency.

He stated, "I don't look to excuse my conduct and will look for professional help to guarantee it never happens again. In time I would like to win the pardoning of every one of the individuals who put their trust in me and that I have let down so frightfully. The prime minister and the government she leads will keep on having my full support."

The Guardian, cited the Sunday Mirror as naming the substance of Griffiths' messages as 'depraved'.

The Sunday Mirror stated, "In a series of writings Griffiths called himself "Daddy", guaranteed cash in the event that he got scandalous pictures and portrayed debased and unpleasant sex he asserted to have had with other ladies."

He is a former Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, a discussion he used to push Pakistan's position in Kashmir in the United Kingdom.
