Patna, July 17 The Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar government on Tuesday increased compensation for acid-attack and rape survivors from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 7 lakh.
The compensation will be expanded by 50 percent for survivors beneath 14 years old.
In the cabinet meeting chaired by him, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today approved Victim Compensation Scheme 2018, clearing route for improvement in compensation to rape and acid attack victims.
